Cricket on Canvas

In 1814 Thomas Lord founded what has become the world’s most celebrated cricket ground, renowned for its prestige and history.

It is also home to some of the finest and decorative art in the cricket world, which can be viewed as part of a new tour, Cricket on Canvas. This tour introduces the fascinating links to cricket and art, by visiting the famous Pavilion and MCC Museum to focus on the Club’s extensive art collection.

Perfect for cricket fans or art enthusiasts, this special tour offers a unique insight to the original paintings, which have connected the Club, Ground and game to the wider world.

The evening will begin with an English Sparkling Wine Reception in the Bowlers’ Bar at 5pm, with the 90 minute tour commencing at 5.30pm.

By booking the Cricket on Canvas Tour, you will be treated to the following:

  • Sparkling wine reception with light nibbles on arrival in the Bowlers' Bar - Situated in the Grade II*- listed Pavilion
  • An exclusive look at of some of the Club’s most famous art pieces, and the history behind them
  • A copy of the MCC Magazine
