Please find below some frequently asked questions about Tours of Lord's Cricket Ground.

Can I book in advance?

All bookings for Lord's Tours must be made online here. Bookings for Tours are subject to availability so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Is it possible to purchase gift vouchers?

Gift vouchers are available to buy online or by phone. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be used within the validity period. Extensions beyond the 12 month period will not be considered under any circumstances.

What days and times are the Tours available?

Tours run seven days a week, throughout the year, with the exception of major match days and preparation days. Tour availability will be limited on other match days. Please be advised the Lord’s Tour will be closed from 21st December – 5th January 2020 (inclusive).

How long will the Tour last?

Public Tours last approximately 100 minutes.

Can I organise a private group for a Lord’s Tour?

Private tours are available and discounts are offered depending on the numbers attending.

Groups of 20 or more (10% discount):

Adult £22.50
Senior (Over 60's) £18.00
Student (ID required) £16.20
Children (aged 5-15) £14.40

How many people will be in my Tour group?

There will be a maximum of 30 people on a public tour.

How much will a Tour cost?

Adult £25

Senior (Over 60s) £20

What age is the Tour suitable for?

Lord's Tours are suitable for visitors of all ages. Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

Is the Tour suitable for young children?

The Tour lasts for 100 minutes and may not be suitable for very young children. We ask that parents ensure that children are properly supervised at all times for their own safety. Should children become disruptive, we may request that you leave the Tour so that the enjoyment of others is not affected.

Is there anywhere to leave luggage or bags?

Visitors with luggage or bags larger than those permitted in overhead lockers in aircraft cabins won't be allowed into Lord's. The MCC does not have any luggage storage facilities so we recommend leaving your luggage at your place of accommodation or at a mainline railway station - click here for more information.

Is the Tour accessible for disabled people and people with other access requirements?

The Club welcomes everyone to the Ground. There is level step-free access for most parts of the Lord’s Tour. Please note that the upper Museum level is not wheelchair accessible, this level is where the Ashes Urn and the Trophies are displayed.

MCC recognises that many people who visit Lord’s will have access requirements, and details of the facilities and services available to our guests, especially those with special needs can be found here or please contact Lord’s Tours on 020 7616 8595 for more information.

If you require assistance or are a wheelchair user please notify us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Is my Tour guided?

All Tours are led by a Tour Guide.

Will I get to see all parts of the ground?

Lord’s is a working ground. Therefore, not all areas may be available on a particular Tour date due to ground operations. Similarly, Tour itineraries and content may vary at MCC’s sole discretion without further notice. MCC cannot guarantee all advertised elements of the Tour will be available on a particular date.

Will the weather affect the Tour?

Unlike the cricket, our Tours run in all weathers. Part of the Tour is outside, so make sure you are dressed appropriately.

What should I wear on my Tour?

Those who wear ripped or torn vests, garments in military camouflage colours, singlets, offensive garments, rubber flip flops, bikini tops, bare midriff, won't be permitted into the ground.

What time should I arrive for my Tour?

MCC recommends that you arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time of your Tour to allow enough time to clear security and view the Museum.

Re-entry to Lord's, including to the Museum (and/or Lord's Shop or other retail outlets), after the conclusion of your Tour is not permitted so please arrive with enough time to enjoy the Museum.

Will there be any security checks on arrival?

For your safety and the safety of all Tour customers, our friendly security team may search persons and belongings on entry.

Can I park at Lord's?

There are no parking facilities available at Lord's. We recommend where possible you travel to Lord's via public transport.

Can I change or cancel my Tour booking?

Yes. If you wish to cancel your Tour booking, please email tours@mcc.org.uk. You will need to do this at least 72 hours prior to the commencement of your pre-booked Tour.

Can I take photos on my Tour?

Photography is only permitted in those areas of Lord's designated by the Tour guides. The use of flash photography is not permitted in the Museum.

Where does the Tour finish?

The Tour finishes at the Lord's Shop.

Can I come back to the Museum or Lord's Shop once the Tour has finished?

Re-entry to Lord's, including to the Museum and/or Lord's shop or other retail outlets, after the conclusion of your Tour is not permitted.

What if I am late for my Tour?

Visitors must be present at the start time of their Tour or they risk losing their place. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after your Tour is scheduled to commence, you will be denied entry to Lord's.

Is there anywhere I can eat at the ground?

The Tavern pub situated next to the famous Grace Gates is perfect for a bite to eat or drink before or after your Tour.

Can I bring food and drink to the ground?

The consumption of food and drink in the Museum, the Pavilion, the Media Centre, the Lord's Shop and other retail outlets is not permitted.

Can I smoke on the Tour?

Smoking is not allowed during Tours.

Can I go onto the pitch?

You are not permitted to access any part of Lord's other than where you are taken by your Tour guide, including the pitch.

Can I have a Tour in another language?

We currently only conduct Lord's guided Tours in English.

Can I just visit the Museum without booking a Tour?

Museum entry is only permitted when you book a Tour of the ground. All Lord's Tours can be booked here.
