Marylebone Cricket Club has been collecting objects for over 150 years, with Sir Spencer Ponsonby-Fane responsible for the earliest acquisitions. It still has an active collections policy to ensure that it represents all aspects of the game and its history.
Tammy Beaumont donates her England shirt signed by the whole team to the MCC Museum
In recent years we have attempted to fill gaps in the collection with specific appeals. The blazer appeal yielded some fine examples of wandering club blazers, and a selection can be seen in the new Pavilion display. In an effort to improve our women’s cricket collection we recently acquired equipment and scrapbooks from former England wicket-keeper Shirley Hodges.
We are always happy to discuss possible donations, please contact the Museum for further information.
Recent acquisitions will be showcased on our social network platforms.
