Display caption

The centrepiece of Thomas Verity’s 1890 Pavilion, the Long Room is the most iconic building in cricket. Its length of 93 feet recalls the long gallery of a medieval country house, while its high ceiling evokes the atmosphere of a grand cathedral. An £8.2 million refurbishment in 2004/05 restored many of the original Victorian features to the Pavilion.
