Pith Helmet of C F Walters, 1933 This pith helmet is typical of the kind of headgear worn by English cricketers visiting pre-partition India. C F Walters wore this helmet on the MCC Tour of India in 1933-34. The MCC team was captained by D R Jardine and came one year after the infamous ‘Bodyline’ series in Australia.
