Description

Pair of Oppidan Wall socks. Eton College. Wide, horizontal purple and orange stripes. Purple heels and toes. The Wall game is played by Teams at Eton, the Oppidan’s consisting of the rest of the school as opposed to the Collegers, who are made up of King's Scholars. It loosely resembles rugby union

A collection of Eton College sports memorabilia relating to A.M. Campbell, the younger brother of A M Campbell (see previous lot) who were both accomplished sportsmen at the College, 1930-1936, contains a large album containing 22 large photographs of various Eton sports teams including cricket, football, wall game, fives etc., all with neatly written legends; together with a selection of vintage sports clothing all with relevant ribbon colours, also caps, boater ribbons, blazer with matching football socks & colours, another blazer and miscellaneous items (a qty.) Sold for £600
