Description

Upper part of the plaster cast applied to the hand and lower arm of Shane Warne. Includes inner cotton wool padding and elasticated bandage. Signed by player. Injury sustained during the MCC vs The Rest of the World Bicentenary Match, 5th July 2014. Fellow Australian, and friend, Brett Lee (playing for MCC) bowled a beamer (check this fact) and hit Warne on the hand. Warne took no further part in the game having not yet bowled a ball. He returned some weeks later, signed the cast and presented it to the museum.
