Description

Length of Petersham ribbon, probably for hat band or belt. Wide red and gold stripes, bordered by narrow, black stripes. Signed on one side by MCC Team to Australia 1903-4. Fourteen signatures: Warner (Cpt), Hayward, Foster, Bosanquet, Tyldesley, Hirst, Knight, Braund, Rhodes, Lilley, Relf, Arnold, Fielder, Strudwick and also by members of the Australian Test teams who played on tour. Twelve signatures: Noble (cpt), Trumper, Cotter, McAllister, McLeod, Trumble, Armstrong, Howell, Gregory, Hill, Cotter and Hopkins, plus John Murdoch. Belt probably signed at the 4th Test Match at Sydney (26 Feb-3 March 1904).

Rare piece of MCC Ribbon signed by MCC Team to Australia 1903-4. Bands of yellow, red and navy blue (MCC Colours) folds of ribbon in relatively good condition, minimal fraying. Possibly would have been used as a hat band, or belt. Signed by 1903-04 team to Australia. 14 signatures: Warner (Cpt), Hayward, Foster, Bosanquet, Tyldesley, Hirst, Knight, Braund, Rhodes, Lilley, Relf, Arnold, Fielder, Strudwick and also signed by members of the Australian Test teams who played on tour.
