Description

MCC navy blue touring blazer. With embroidered MCC emblem in white of St. George & Dragon of England and below in scroll ‘1953 West Indies 1954’ to breast pocket. Trimming to blazer, pockets and sleeves in MCC colours of yellow and red. Three brass buttons and two on each cuff.

T Godfrey Evans. Kent & England 1939- 1967. MCC navy blue touring blazer, by Daks, worn by Evans on the MCC tour of West Indies in 1953/54. With embroidered MCC emblem in white of St. George & Dragon of England and below in scroll ‘1953 West Indies 1954’ to breast pocket. Trimming to blazer, pockets and sleeves in MCC colours of yellow and red. Godfrey Evans took 816 catches and 250 stumpings in first class cricket & played for England in 91 matches.
