Description

Cast metal totem pole, presented to MCC Team in Vancouver, British Columbia, 1937. Large bear or monster holding a small human figure, topped with an eagle, wings outstretched. Original description mentions affixed to wooden base, not present. Inscription: Presented to the MCC by Cricketers and Citizens of Vancouver. On the occasion of their first official visit to British Columbia. 21st August 1937. Originally presented to G C Newman, as captain of the MCC team.
