Description

One of a pair of tea or hot water jugs used in the Cricketer's Arms at Duncton, West Sussex. Possibly enamelled tin ware, brown with gold Greek key decoration. Perforated strainer over the spout, hinged lid with mushroom shaped finial. ‘J Dean, Duncton’ on lid, ‘Cricketers Arms, twice on neck. The inn was kept by James Dean, the Sussex cricketer.
