Description
Group portrait of ten cricketers in the Committee Room, Lord's Pavilion. In the background four paintings can be seen of deceased England cricketers: W J Edrich of Middlesex, K F Barrington of Surrey, Sir Leonard Hutton of Yorkshire and J C Laker of Surrey. These are shown hanging either side of the doorway into the Long Room. In the foreground are (left to right) T G Evans (Kent), T E Bailey (Essex), P B H May (Surrey), J B Statham (Lancashire), D C S Compton (Middlesex), Sir Alec Bedser (Surrey), Sir Colin Cowdrey (Kent), F S Trueman (Yorkshire), E R Dexter (Sussex) and TW Graveney (Gloucestershire and Worcestershire).- Association:
