Description

Duke & Son bat with spliced cane handle, partially twine wrapped and treble sprung. Maker’s mark on blade. Signed by the 1926 Australian team, including Bardsley.

Cricket bat with which Warren Bardsley made 193 not out, for Australia against England at Lord's 1926. Bardsley was the first player to score a century and carry his bat through an innings in a Test at Lord's. He is also the oldest Australian to hit a century.
