Description

DISPOSAL Lithograph. Black and white, landscape, mounted on brown card. At the centre of the print, a cricket match is being played; in the foreground men, women annd children are depicted observing - some are seated, others have their back to the game, a few spectators are mounted on horses and the impression of a good time being had is indicated by a basket of alcohol to the left of the picture. In the background is a hilly landscape with trees and a country residence; birds fly in the sky which has scattered clouds. The caption below the print reads: 'To the President and Members of the Beverley and East Kent Cricket Club. This Print, representing the Match played at Cambridge on Monday August 4th 1845, between Kent and All England.
