Scope and Content
Cassette recording, 'Ross Edwards: Fielding' produced by Admark Party Limited. The recording consists of a speech by Ross Edwards discussing his life in cricket and providing advice on fielding. The cassette sleeve contains instructions on the position of hands for catching, places to stand in the slips, catching in the outfield and fielding the ball from the ground.

Side 1, 'Ross Edwards: My Life in Cricket' is 15 minutes 52 seconds long. Edwards talks about his early memories of cricket including watching on the radio and playing imaginary Test matches in his back garden, watching his father play for Western Australia (E K Edwards), his first Test century for Australia against England in his second Test match at Trent Bridge in 1972 (accompanied by audio commentary on Edwards getting his century), playing club and grade cricket in Australia, making his first-class debut for Western Australia in 1964 as a wicket-keeper, working with his father to improve his batting, being selected for Western Australia as a batsman and scoring his first first-class century in 1968-1969, his improvement in fielding which meant he fielded in the covers during a match, winning the Sheffield Shield with Western Australia in 1971-1972 and being selected for the Australian tour of England in 1972, making his Test debut at Lord's in 1972, scoring 170 not out at Trent Bridge in 1972 and scoring 0 in both innings at Headingley, and helping Australia draw the Ashes series against England in 1972, playing in the Australia vs. Pakistan Test series and West Indies vs. Australia Test series in 1972-1973, being dropped for the Australian team in 1973-1974 due to not batting well enough, returning to the Australian team for the 1974-1975 Ashes series against England and scoring a century for Australia against England at Perth, playing in the 1975 World Cup Final for Australia and retaining the Ashes against England in 1975 and scoring 99 at Lord's during the Test match that year, and the best players he has played with and against.

Side 2, 'Ross Edwards: Fielding' is 14 minutes 29 seconds long. Edwards discusses aspects of fielding including fielding in the slips and the outfield, catching the ball and how to position your hands when fielding, fielding positions in the slips, fielding stance, the importance of catching practice, picking up the ball from the ground, throwing the ball in the outfield and assisting the wicket-keeper with run outs by throwing underarm at the stumps. Edwards refers to the diagrams in the cassette sleeve throughout.
