Biography on reverse reads: "Lance Cairns (Central Districts, Otago & Northern Districts) (1949-) A folk hero in New Zealand cricket, Cairns is remembered for his big hitting and fast scoring but he was a very fine swing bowler who captured 130 wickets at 32.91 in his 43 tests, second only to Richard Hadlee. Cairns holds the record for the fastest century in New Zealand first class cricket - 52 minutes and 45 balls for Otago v Wellington in 1979/80 - but his best remembered batting exploit is the six sixes he hit in a World Series game against Australia at Melbourne in 1982/82 when he scored 52 runs off 25 balls. He scored a total of 928 runs in test cricket."
