Scope and Content

Copy of the inventory and valuation of certain furniture and fittings at 20 Elm Tree Road (formerly the property of MCC Secretary Ronald Aird). Includes a list of additional work ordered by S C Griffith on inspection of the house on 7 September 1962, list of specification of works required for 4 Elm Tree Road. The file also contains a table comparing 6 ball and 8 ball overs in 1938, letter from George Duckworth, baggage master for MCC tours, wishing Griffith good luck on his appointment as Secretary of MCC in 1962, and a letter, possibly from the Duke of Norfolk, manager of the MCC team which toured Australia and New Zealand in 1962-1963, reporting on bowlers who played against MCC with suspect bowling actions.
