Scope and Content

Trading card depicting a colour photographic portrait of Glenn Turner batting at the wicket, at the end of playing a shot. He is wearing cricket whites, black batting helmet, white gloves and pads.

Description on reverse reads: "Glenn Turner New Zealand Age 35. Right-hander, New Zealand's finest batsman. Early in the 1982 English season he reached 100 centuries and he now has more than 34,000 runs at about 50, and more than 34,000 runs at about 50, and more than 400 catches. He has scored two centuries in a match six times. A specialist also in limited-over cricket. Turner is a fine stroke-maker, much more aggressive than his slight physique might suggest.
Tests 39, with 2,920 runs at 45.7. Seven centuries, including New Zealand record of 259 against the West Indies."
