Scope and Content
Trading card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of Roger Harper. He is wearing a white shirt and West Indian v-neck cableknit sweater with light blue and dark blue stripes in the centre of two maroon stripes trim. Series No.11.

Biography on reverse reads: "R. A, Harper. Born at Georgetown and remembered for superbly running out Graham Gooch during the Bi-Centenary Test at Lord's in 1987, West Indian Roger Harper is a right-hand off-break bowler, right-handed middle-order batsman and exceptional fieldsman. Like his brother he represented his native Guyana from 1979/80 to 1991/92 before making his first-class debut for D.B. Close's XI at Scarborough in 1983. He played 54 matches for Northamptonshire form 1985 to 1987 and during his career has taken 499 wickets (av. 26.90), scored 6,446 runs (av. 33.39) with a top score of 234 vs Gloucestershire at Northampton in 1986 and he has held 229 catches. He played 24 for the West Indies from 1983/84 to 1988/89 taking 45 wickets (av. 27.82) with a best of 6 for 57 vs England at Old Trafford in 1984 and has scored 532 runs (av. 19.00) with a top score of 74 vs England at Old Trafford in 1988 and he has held 35 catches. He has toured abroad 20 times and his best and his best season for the county was 1986 when he achieved 933 runs (av. 35.88) and accumulated 62 wickets (av. 27.41)."
