Scope and Content

Copies of the 'Cricket in Hot Climates' guidebook for use on cricket tours. Includes two copies of the 'Cricket in Hot Climates' booklet produced by Dr W J H Butterfield of Guy's Hospital in London, for the MCC team which toured Australia in 1954-1955. and a 'Cricket in Hot Climates' booklet compiled by MCC team masseur Hugh Dalton and published in 11 October 1956. Both booklets contain advice on sea sickness, sunburn, hangovers, diet and loosening-up exercises. The folder also contains a table of statistics compiled by Sussex County Cricket Club not related to 'Cricket in Hot Climates' which include the number of runs scored per over.
