Scope and Content
Cigarette card depicting a black and white photographic group portrait of the Derbyshire County Cricket Club. Eleven players and scorer are positioned in two rows. All players are wearing cricket whites, three wear v-neck cableknit sweaters with two coloured trim, two wear v-neck cableknit sweaters with thick dark trim and one wears a v-neck cableknit sweater with thick dark stripe in the centre of two thin stripes, one wears a Derbyshire cap with crowned rose crest on the front, one wears pads. The scorer wears a suit. Series No.179.

Players named on reverse: "Left to right, back row:- Elliott, H., Townsend, L., Copson, W., H. Parker (Hon. Scorer), Pope, A., Smith, D., Elliott, C. Front row :- Storer, H., Worthington, S., A. Richardson (Capt.), Mitchell, T., Alderman, A."

Biography on reverse reads: "Formed in 1870 and one of the original teams in the County Championship, they won the title in its second year, 1874. Have made consistent progress in recent years, being sixth in 1933, third, 1934, second, 1935, and Champions, 1936."
