Cigarette card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of Leslie Townsend. He is wearing a white shirt, blue blazer and blue Derbyshire cap with crowned rose crest on the front. Series No.27.

Biography on reverse reads: "L. F. Townsend (Derbyshire) Has accomplished the coveted Double (100 wickets and 1,000 runs) on three occasions, and 2,268 runs, in the summer of 1933, is his best batting achievement. Bowler of medium pace, Townsend took 12 wickets for 55, including the the hat-trick v. Northamptonshire in 1931. This Derbyshire's player's highest score is 233 against Leicestershire, 1933. Townsend earned a place in the team which toured India in the winter of 1933-34."
