Scope and Content
Cigarette card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of Thomas Mitchell. He is wearing a white shirt, blue blazer, sweater and blue Derbyshire cap with crowned rose crest on the front. Series No.15.

Biography on reverse reads: "T. B. Mitchell (Derbyshire) Mitchell, of Derbyshire, is one of the best slow bowlers and specialises in leg breaks. He first attained Test rank in 1932-33, when he assisted England to win the Ashes at Brisbane during the M.C.C.'s Australian tour; also played against Australia in 1934 series. He has captured over 100 wickets in each of the past seven seasons, his best year being 1935, when he took 160."
