Scope and Content
Cigarette card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of Percy Fender. He is wearing a white shirt, sweater with double-striped brown trim and white cravat. Series No.12.

Biography on reverse reads: "P. G. H. Fender (Surrey) This well-known all-rounder first represented Sussex 1910-13, after which he played for Surrey, being Captain for ten years. Has scored over 1,000 runs in a season on nine occasions. Best all-round performance in one season - 1,427 runs and 178 wickets. Toured Australia and South Africa. Highest score 185 v. Hampshire, at the Oval, 1922. Always a fast scorer. Fender hit up 113 in less than forty minutes against Northamptonshire in 1920."
