Scope and Content
Cigarette card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of James Langridge. He is wearing a white shirt, blue blazer and blue Sussex cap with martlets crest on the front. Series No.11.

Biography on reverse reads: "James Langridge (Sussex) A splendid all-round cricketer. In 1933 he took over 100 wickets and scored over 1,000 runs for the fourth successive season, repeating the feat in in 1935. Since 1927 he has annually scored over 1,000 runs. Has twice made 159 not out, his highest. Played for England v. West Indies, at Manchester, 1933, taking 7 wickets for 56 runs. Toured India 1933-34 and Australasia 1935-36. Bats and bowls left-handed."
