Cigarette card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of Bill Bowes. He is wearing a white shirt and blue blazer. Series No.7.

Biography on reverse reads: "W. E. Bowes (Yorkshire) Became a member of the Lord's ground staff in 1929; since 1931 Bowes has done yeoman service for Yorkshire. Took 136 wickets in 1931, 190 in 1932, 159 in 1933, 147 in 1934, and 193 in 1935. Toured Australia in 1932-33, and played against Australia in Tests of 1934, taking 5 wickets for 55 runs (immediately after illness) in the last match of the series, at the Oval. Has proved to be one of the best fast bowlers in recent years."
