Cigarette card depicting a coloured illustrated head and shoulders portrait of Hedley Verity. He is wearing a white shirt, blue blazer and blue Yorkshire cap with white rose crest on the front. Series No.2.

Biography on reverse reads: "Hedley Verity (Yorkshire) First appeared for Yorkshire, July, 1930, and is one of the best left-arm spin bowlers. Against Essex at Leyton, in 1933, he took 17 wickets in one day, and once took all 10 Notts. wickets for 10 runs. Against Australia, 1934, at Lord's Verity captured 15 wickets, equalling Rhodes' record for most wickets in a Test Match. In 1935 he took 161 wickets at an average of 13.63 each. The most outstanding bowler of his type in recent years."
