Scope and Content
Scrapbook of newspaper cuttings relating to cricket matches played by G H P Street. Includes reports and scores for matches that Street played in for Kensington Park, Incogniti, Nondescripts, Henley, Bute House School, Seal, Mr H B Smith's XI, Captain J S Muggeridge's XI, Mr Bucknell's XI, Bognor, Mr Britten Holmes' XI, Maidenhead, Lyric, F E Street's XII, A O Miles' XI, Squerryes, Mr L Easum's XI, Bromley Palace, Mr Kiallmark's XI, Mr Nicholas' Eleven, E R H Burlton's Eleven, Mr H J Stone's XI and MCC and Ground .
The scrapbook also contains correspondence sent to Street requesting him to play for MCC against Middlesex Colts in 1882, averages for Kensington Park in 1880, reports on the Nondescripts' Grand Ball and advertisement for the Nondescripts Private Subscription Ball in 1881, reports on a farewell banquet held by Incogniti Cricket Club in honour of honorary secretary Sir A W L Hemming, batting averages for MCC and Ground in 1891, copy of an Incogniti Cricket Club fixture list for 1894, and scorecards from the following matches:
