Scope and Content

Scrapbook of photographs, newspaper cuttings, correspondence and scorecards compiled by R A Fitzgerald. The scrapbook is embossed with the initials 'RAFG IZ'. Includes reports of MCC matches and matches Fitzgerald played in for MCC, England, I Zingari, mock certificate from I Zingari permitting Fitzgerald to marry, photographs of Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald's family and friends, photographs of the I Zingari team and I Zingari matches, handwritten accounts of the I Zingari annual dinner, copy of an additional verse for the I Zingari song written by Fitzgerald and J Loraine Baldwin, articles on the new Grand Stand built at Lord's Cricket Ground in 1867, letter from Henry Perkins to Fitzgerald informing him of the MCC Committee's decision for Perkins to assume Fitzgerald's duties as Secretary due to ill health in June 1876, programme and photograph of the MCC team's match in Paris in 1867.
