Scope and Content
Scrapbook of newspaper cuttings, correspondence and scorecards compiled by Fitzgerald. Includes newspaper reports of MCC matches and matches Fitzgerald played in for MCC, I Zingari, Quidnuncs, Utrera [Spain], Charleywood and Buckinghamshire, articles on lawn tennis, lists of winners of famous horse racing events, cricket song in memory of John Smith, obituary to Roger Kynaston, handbill for the 1869 Cricket Week of Amateur Theatricals, script for the play 'Epilogue' in 1873 which contained references to cricket, correspondence sent to Fitzgerald by Lord Lansdowne, reports on baseball tours of England in 1874 by the Boston Redstockings and Athletic Bluestockings of Philadelphia, which also included baseball at Lord's, articles on the death of Felix, doctor's notes on Fitzgerald's health, programme for the MCC vs. Paris Cricket Club match in April 1867.
