Postcard depicting a sepia photogaph of cricket match taking place at Scarborough Cricket Ground, spectators sit on individual chairs around boundary rope in foreground, pavilion and stands filled with spectators on opposite side of the ground. Part of "Queen" Series H.O.T Scarborough. Postcard No.2334.

Message on reverse reads: "Dear mummy and daddy guess why I chose this particular card. I know you'll like it very much. We can see this marvellous ground from the back. The sun has burnt my neck & a bit of it hurts. Aircraft carrier Theseus is anchored offshore & I wanted a snap of it, but I think its too far out. Sorry this is in pencil. Have no pen. Will ring Tuesday evening! I have worn my low dress without a cardigan. I have been wicked Mr & Mrs Eagle will be glad to get rid of me again I'm sure. Love Catherine. P.s. Remind me to tell you about Miss Ashworth."
