Scope and Content
Postcard depicting a sepia photographic group portrait of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in 1929, twelve players are positioned in two rows. All are players are wearing cricket whites, three wear Gloucestershire blazers with coat of arms on breast pocket, one wears an MCC touring blazers with St. George and dragon crest on breast pocket and two-striped trim, five wear blazers with crests obscurred, one wears a blazer with three-coloured stripes, one wears a dark blazer with thin light stripes, six wear v-neck cableknit sweaters with three-coloured trim, three wear Gloucestershire caps with coat of arms on the front, two wear Oxford University caps with initials crest on the front, one wears an MCC touring cap with St. George and dragon crest on the front. Situated on grass area with canvas backdrop.

Message on reverse reads: "Mom. here for the day with Mr Ray of Bristol. We have just seen Hammond make a lordy 100. Dad would have enjoyed his knock. Just off back to Bham - 5 Oc. I was inthe middle of the [?] & wondered what was happening may [?] back & report. Hope all well love N."

Sent to: Mrs W T Treadaway, Beronia, Western Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex. Two green George V half penny stamps with Gloucester postmark, 1931.
