Scope and Content
Postcard depicting a black and white group photographic portrait of a Kent Cricket Team in 1906, thirteen players and scorer are positioned in three rows. All players are wearing cricket whites, four are wearing Kent blazers with horse crest on breast pocket, three wear dBan dof Brothers blazers, one wears an MCC touring blazer with St. George and dragon crest on breast pocket and striped trim, one wears an I Zingari blazer, one wears a dark blazer with thin black stripes, three blazer crests are obscured. Five wear Kent caps with horse crest on the front, three wear straw boaters, one wears a sun hat, one holds a pipe. The scorer wears a three-piece suit and flat cap. Situated in front of a hedge, located at Bournemouth Cricket Ground.

Message on reverse reads: "I think I owe you a p.c. thought you would like this one. I was rather disappointed at not seeing Emma when Jim came back but I shall still have the pleasure of looking forward to her coming later on. am off to Hernes Bay today (Sunday) Rose."

Sent to: Mr E Powell, Post Office Street, Fakenham, Norfolk. Green Edward VII half penny stamp with Dartford postmark, 8 September 1906, 1:30 pm.
