Postcard depicting a black and white photographic group portrait of Gloucestershire CCC at Clifton in August 1929, twelve players and manager are positioned in two rows. All players are wearing cricket whites, six wear Gloucestershire blazers with coat of arms on breast pocket, one wears a dark blazer with thin white stripes, one wears a Free Foresters blazer, one wears an Oxford University blazer with initials crest on breast pocket, two blazer crests are obscured, one player wears a suit, three wears caps with one having Oxford University crest on the front. The manager wears a suit and homburg hat. Players have reproduced autographs by their bodies.

Message on reverse reads: "Got here (Gloucester) [?] 4.30, had a good journey. Love from W."

Sent to: "Martha Edwin Rich, Steel Green Terrace, Millom, Cumberland. Red George V one penny stamp with Gloucester postmark, 7 October 1929.
