Scope and Content

Scrapbooks, photographic albums, players passes and complimentary tickets and badges relating to the England Women's Cricket tours of Australia and New Zealand in 1934-1935, Australia and New Zealand in 1948-1949, compiled by Myrtle Maclagan. The items include newspaper cuttings and scoring diagrams, handwritten accounts of the 1948-1949 tour by Maclagan, tour statistics, postcards, photographs of the England Women's team playing cricket in Australia and New Zealand and photographs of Malta, Suez Canal, Port-Said, Aden Mediterranean Sunsets, Bombay, Colombo and parts of Australia including Bondi Beach and visits to see Koala bears. Includes certificate for crossing the Equator on 27 April 1949, 1 packet of commercially produced scenic views of North Island New Zealand and two personally addressed envelopes, one containing photos of Panama Canal, the other unopened.
