Scope and Content
Letter from W G Grace to Arrowsmith, 1 June 1902. Subjects include Grace thanking Arrowsmith for entertaining the London County Team during their visit to Bristol. The folder contains drawings of George Osbaldeston, Lord's Cricket Ground in 1833, W Lillywhite, The Royal Academy Club in Marylebone Field, A Young Cricketer (from a picture attributed to Gainsborough, belonging to MCC), White Conduit Club at play in 1787, team photograph for the MCC Centenary match in 1887, the Second Lord's Ground at North Bank in Regents Park, the First Lord's Ground at Dorset Square, Cricket at Lord's in 1822, Cricket at Lord's in 1860, cricket costume in 1787. The Grace letter was acquired in 1979.
