Curator's correspondence (Stephen Green) relating to items refused by MCC due to cost and duplication. Items include bats signed by W G Grace, a silver medal issued by the Loyal East India Local Volunteers for ball firing at Lord's in 1803, a medal commemorating the MCC 1903-1904 tour of Australia, letters belonging to Jack Hobbs, a former school (Rosemead School) at 126 Atkins Road, SW12 which was offered to MCC for £415,000, a cricket cup from Liverpool Cricket Club, painting of a cricket match by Michael Lewis (a photograph is included with the correspondence), a painting by Amanda Stiby submitted to the Royal Academy entitled 'The Tourists of '76' depicting the West Indian team coming onto a cricket field, an archive of material belonging to J Southerton, books for the MCC Library. The file includes an agreement by MCC to accept a Lancaster Park Cricket Club tie from Lancaster Park Cricket Club.
