Curator's correspondence (Diana Rait Kerr) relating to items offered but not acquired by MCC. Items included a painting entitled 'A Game of Cricket' by Francis Hayman, a portrait of Sir Spencer Ponsonby-Fane by which was rejected as MCC already had a similar picture, decision to reject a picture of the founders of I Zingari as MCC were satisfied with the ones they already had, a picture of a match between Cork County and I Zingari which was rejected as MCC could not afford the asking price of £200, Howard Barron's portrait of Sir Jack Hobbs which was offered to the Committee
