Curator's correspondence (Diana Rait Kerr) relating to items offered to MCC which they refused to acquire for reasons of cost/duplication. Items include portraits of James Dean, a lithograph of a cricket match at Melbourne in 1858, portraits of Jack Hobbs and W G Grace, photographs of the 1878 Australian Cricket Team in England. The file includes details of items that were accepted by MCC including a painting entitled 'Bowled Out' by William Hemsley.
