Scope and Content
Correspondence from members of the public giving their suggestions on how to improve first-class cricket. Includes improved run scoring, faster play, change in format to County Championship, points scoring, proposals of a knock-out competition, ways of limiting innings, alternatives to the traditional coin toss, proposal for an indoor cricket tournament, with Laws, suggestion that only 8 players a side actually bat, response to Jack Fingleton's appearance on "Desert Island Discs" calling for a shorter bowling run up, idea for two cricket pitches, the side batting second on the first pitch will then bat first on the second pitch, proposals from County Clubs on the format and scoring in County Championship.
