Correspondence enquiring about the current state of experimental laws, orders for Laws of Cricket, how the 'popping' crease, pitch matters, hat tricks, amendment suggestions, run scoring, how batsmen are out, multiple questions on sight screens in front of Lord's Pavilion, substitutions, on what should be done if a tree is inside the boundary, definition of a ‘chinaman’. Many enquiries from league cricket which MCC does not answer due to the league association having to send in said enquiry. Enquiry about football goalposts being situated within the boundary and 4 runs being counted if a ball strikes them. Query of a match where each side declared after one over in first innings - with newspaper clippings, questions on pitch rolling, correct cricket dress.
