Introduction (taken from book):

For several years, and in a variety of ways, Rothmans of Pall Mall have done a great deal to help cricket in most of the countries where it is played. It was fitting then, that the imaginative concept and physical task of bringing the greatest players from the 'rest of the world' to meet England XIs in 1965 should have been theirs.
John Reid, at the time the world's senior Test captain, was chosen to lead the Rest of the World XI, and eleven players were selected by readers of Radio Times, and viewers of BBC Television's 'Sportsview'. Coincidently, the final 'twelve' was, in fact, representative of all the major cricket playing countries.
Two matches were played - at Scarborough on September 8, 9 and 10, and at Lord's on September 11,13 and 14. The Nawab of Pataudi of India did not play at Scarborough and came in for E J Barlow of South Africa.
This scorebook is a record of both matches.
