Sir Marcus Worsley, Curator [Diana Rait Kerr], Sir William Worsley and Thirsk Cricket Club correspondence relating to the donation by MCC of a plaque and photograph for the Thirsk Cricket Club to acknowledge the birthplace of Thomas Lord. Subjects include discussion of size, design, location and material of plaque, cost estimations for manufacture of the plaque, invitations and scheduling for the presentation of the plaque and the house in Thirsk where Thomas Lord was born. Also includes sketches produced by one of the potential plaque manufacturers.
